You see, we're Italian. And eating is everything. It's love, it's happiness, it's time spent together. And so, as a little girl who wouldn't eat her pasta because she was too busy talking and laughing, I heard my Nonna (grandma) tell me "Mangia shut up!" on a daily basis.
It stuck.
Now, I love my pasta, and while I still talk and laugh through most of my meals, I've got a pretty good balance going - thanks to Nonna.
